Christina Kelly
In a journalism career that spans more than 20 years, Christina Kelly has worked for the Associated Press, the Seattle Times, the Tacoma News Tribune, the Los Angeles Times and smaller West Coast dailies. Most of her work has been beat reporting, covering everything from education, the environment, the cop beat, business and everything in between. But her heart and passion is wine, starting from the time she made her first Chardonnay at the age of 12 on her great-grandmother’s farm in Oregon.
Christina now works in corporate communications during the day, and continues her journalism as a wine writer on the side. She has written for the San Francisco Chronicle, Seattle Magazine, Seattle Metropolitan Magazine, Spokesman Review, the Oregon Wine Press Magazine, the Oregonian, Washington CEO Magazine, Wines and Vines, Sociable Magazine (Canada) and Better Homes & Gardens to name a few. She is the senior writer and editor for avalonwine.com, covering Northwest wines.
Christina has won numerous journalism awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and recently won her fourth fellowship to the Professional Wine Writers’ Symposium in Napa. She resides in Eastern Washington.
