Gary Werner
Gary Werner is the communications director for the Washington Wine Commission in Seattle. He is relatively new to the Pacific Northwest – having moved here only last summer. During the previous 10 years, he worked as a journalist covering much the wine world for Wine & Spirit, Decanter and other bibulous publications. Prior to life in Europe, Gary worked as a journalist in Colorado; and before college he served in the Atlantic submarine fleet of the US Navy. Gary and his wife, Julie, now live in the foothills of the Cascades with their two daughters – who are just learning to love skiing, hiking and basketball as much as their dad does.
