Jake Kosseff
Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Jake was introduced to restaurant work at the tender age of 12, as a busboy at Gino’s. Since then, he has served in nearly every position, from busboy to dishwasher to fast food restaurant manager to chef. Learning more about what makes the best restaurants successful with each new position.
For the last ten years, Jake’s focus has been squarely on wine as a wine director for the award winning wine programs at restaurants like Cascadia, Campagne & Café Campagne, and now as the company wine director for Wild Ginger and The Triple Door’s Wine Spectator Grand Award winning wine program. Jake is also a consultant and wine writer, assisting with the wine programs at Crush, The Herbfarm, and Poppy, and writing for Wine Country Minute, Santé Magazine, and Seattle Magazine.
Jake has received numerous awards for his skills and service, including the Chaîne de Rotisseurs “Best Young Sommelier in America” 2006, Seattle Magazine’s “Best Sommelier” 2007, and Sommelier for Seattle Metropolitan Magazine’s “Restaurant Dream Team” in 2006.
