Frequently Asked Questions
Back to Volunteer Info
Will wineries be paired with restaurants?
No, we have eliminated the pairing concept, allowing wineries to select both the variety and quantity of wines they wish to pour. The growth of the wine industry has out-paced the ability to “pair” them with a particular restaurant.
Does that mean there will be no food?
There will be plenty of fabulous food at the event. This year we have over 60 restaurants participating.
How much are tickets?
Seminar tickets are all priced separately and range from $45-$100 per seminar. Most are between $45-$60.
General Admission tickets to the Grand Tasting are $75.
VIP tickets are $125.
Where can I park?
For Bell Harbor: Directly across the street at the Seattle Art Institute Parking Garage.
For Qwest Field:
On Friday, March 26th & Saturday, March 27th, we will have free parking in the East Hall where load in takes place. Map is available on the directions and parking page.
On Sunday, March 28th you will have to park on the street or in the garage. Unfortunately we cannot validate parking for sunday at this time.
Can volunteers sample food & wine at the event?
Yes. Each volunteer working at the event will be given one-hour break to roam and sample both food and wine. Please take into consideration the amount of “samples” of wine you consume during that hour.
What is the dress code?
For load in or set up the dress code is casual. For the seminars or Grand Tasting positions we ask that you are business casual. Slacks and a nice shirt with comfortable shows is recommended.
Where is the cellar?
The cellar is a place on the show floor where you can get snacks and refreshments.
Can I leave personal belongings in the Cellar?
NO, please leave all your personal belongings in the car. We are not able to provide a completely secure area to store your items.
