VOLUNTEER (völ’ən-tîr) n. One who serves or acts of his or her own free will without reward. v. 1. To offer or give of one’s time and service for the advancement of a cause. 2. To willingly give freely of your time and service to be part of the most exciting wine event in the Northwest resulting in extreme personal pride in the knowledge that you have contributed to something you are passionate about.

TASTE WASHINGTON (tāst wŏsh’ǐng-tən) n. A grand event at the Qwest Events Center on March 28th, 2010 showcasing food and wine pairings from more than 200 of Washington State’s best wineries and 60+ of the region’s best restaurants. The event also provides numerous volunteer opportunities for wine lovers looking to whet their appetite for involvement in the wine industry’s most exciting event!

TASTE WASHINGTON VOLUNTEER
(duh) n. A wine lover who wants to contribute their time and talents to help make this great event the best it can be. An event of this magnitude cannot happen without the help of countless people who volunteer their time and energy to setting up, executing and cleaning up this major production. These people are the heart and soul of the event and are invaluable to its success.

Taste Washington is produced to benefit local charities (Farestart and the Washington Wine Education Foundation), and for the advancement of the industry. Volunteers play a major role in the success of this incredible event that will help spread the gospel of Washington Wine!

Receive a $40.00 General Admission ticket! Volunteers who are not working the Grand Tasting can purchase tickets for half price. Limit one per volunteer. Volunteers who are working the Grand Tasting will get a break to enjoy the event.

Please note you do not have to purchase a volunteer ticket to volunteer during the Grand Tasting.

Please make checks payable to the Washington Wine Commission.

Tickets will be available when you check in for your shift OR you can e-mail Katie for details on how to purchase your ticket prior to the event.

If you are working during the Grand Tasting (March 28th between 12:30-7:30) we will provide you with a break to enjoy the show.
